Here at Bookaway, we use a deferred payment system. Your payment for a booking is held until the booking gets approved. Only after approval is obtained, the amount is charged.

It's important to note that the refund process depends on whether your booking was still pending or already approved at the time of cancellation.
- If your booking was still pending: The refund will be returned to your account through a reversal. In such cases, the refunded amount may not appear as a separate line item in your bank statement, but the charge will be entirely removed.
- If your booking was already approved: The initial payment amount was charged, this means that typically, it takes 7-10 business days for the refunded amount to appear in your account.
If you made the payment using PayPal, the above information does not apply. If you haven't received your refund after 10 business days, you can contact PayPal directly to inquire about the status of your refund.
