Another reason this might have happened is that Bookaway uses a system with deferred payments, meaning that when you enter your credit card details, the amount is "held" by your bank until the booking is either approved or declined.
Once your booking is approved, the money will be taken from your account. It’s possible that you might see two separate transactions on your bank statement, but don’t worry—this is completely normal. The money is only taken once.
